We have been incredibly busy over the past month as we are moving closer to our launch date. In order to deliver this solution, a number of technical environments are required to be built within Amazon Web Services, namely:

a) Staging – This is our test bed environment where we perform quality assurance testing on the latest software release.

b) Training – Riccardo will be training the content loaders in Bulgaria to build out developments on behalf of our existing customers, thus this allows the content up-loaders to experiment without affecting our testing and ultimately the production environment.

Dan Makin - CTO

c) Production – This will be built out in July in preparation for our launch. This environment will only include developments where we have commercial agreements in place with a developer and this will form the basis for www.yourkeyz.com.

In the near future, when we recruit our own development team, the developers will also have a QA Environment which allows them to perform integration testing of their roadmap features and/or bug fixes. All of these environments are necessary to ensure we reduce mistakes by only allowing certified changes to the production environment.

Product Update

On the 9th of July we receive our internal version 3.2 release which includes an improved negotiation process, but more importantly at this stage in the product delivery, we have the ability to

a) "Developer" – build out complete developments including enabling customisations per unit type
b) "Buyer" – search, customise and submit offers on unit(s)
c) "Developer / Buyer" – negotiate the unit price
d) "Buyer" – pay the reservation fee via our integration to Stripe payment processing and electronically sign (eSign) the reservation agreement via out integration with DocuSign
e) "Developer / Buyer" – instruct conveyancers

Development Team Update

Here's our development team in India. To keep morale high during this pressured period of the product delivery and to re-enforce the Yourkeyz brand, we sent the team some t-shirts and a few 'typically English' treats including biscuits and sweets. The team includes a technical architect, a project manager, developers and testers.

Rightmove

We were approached by Founders Intelligence ( https://foundersintelligence.co/#/) who are the guys from Lastminute.com Brent, Martha, Henry etc. They have set up a company that advises corporates what’s hot in the world of tech start-ups and advises them about possible investments or acquisitions. They represent Rightmove and requested a meeting to find out more about us so that they could present the potential opportunity to Rightmove at their next meeting on the 19th of July.

KPMG

Craig & Riccardo met with the Prop Tech Team of KPMG who gave them useful contacts in the investment community (including PiLabs) and also validated the key issues between new build house developers and estate agents and conveyancers. They also validated our model of partnering with specialist companies that have deep knowledge of parts of the process, rather than trying to build everything ourselves.

PiLabs

Craig & Riccardo also met with Raya Yunakova, Programme Director of PiLabs, at their office in central London.PiLabs are Europe's first VC platform set up to invest in the property tech vertical. Whilst it was a useful one hour meeting, she is responsible for their Accelerator programme and therefore, as we are already 14 months into our whole journey and we are a more seasoned team, that programme would not really be beneficial for us. She will circulate our information to her colleagues and we will follow up with her in July.

Team

We would also like to welcome our two non-exec directors in to the Yourkeyz family, Neil Mansfield and Quentin Solt. Neil is the ex head of New Homes for BNP Paribas real estate and Quentin is a corporate finance and commercial lawyer who has supported us on legal and financial matters. More information on Neil and Quentin can be found within the team section.

Start-Up Grind

On the 13th of June the team attended the Start-Up grind European conference 2018 where we exhibited to 2,500 founders and investors. After thousands of start-ups applied and several rounds of interviews, we were selected as one of the hundred most promising start-ups in Europe. This year's start-up grind was the biggest and most successful ever. During the course of the 9-hour event, we spoke to dozens of useful and interested parties. A number of which we are still in discussion with and will be attending our next investor presentation on the 17th July.

Investor Events

On the 27th of June we attended an investor networking event at WeWork. This was one of the usual investor pitch events that WeWork run and even if it’s not great for having tonnes of investors attending, it is super useful for pitch practice – I.e. it’s a Frog Kissing exercise . The following day Craig attended a networking event at ZSL London zoo called ‘Who’s who in the zoo’. He met a few useful contacts including the keynote speaker, Bill Morrow ,who has an amazing track record of investment.

Flat Rock Technology – Bulgarian Content Loaders

We have started our engagement with the off-shore content loaders like Flatrock in Bulgaria and have put together a beautifully designed guide to instruct them on how the platform should be used. This includes SLA's, content research and admin rights. Riccardo will be flying over to Bulgaria on the 9th July to give a motivational speech and go through a training program ahead of going live.
